What Is The Weird Red UFO Shape In The Sky?

This amazing photo captured my attention. This unusual cloud formation was seen in Turkey yesterday and I am sure it created a bit of panic and much curiosity of those who saw it.

This cloud formation is known as a lens (lenticular) cloud and they often take the shape of a disc.

I am by no means a meteorologist, so I am including this, so you can get an excellent explanation of what a lens cloud is and how they are created.

Obviously, they are photographers dream clouds, but they are harmless.
