Perhaps those "ordinary working class folks" should have worked a bit harder, received better grades and applied themselves instead of blaming others for their lack of drive and motivation? Blaming affirmative action for white laziness and choosing factory jobs over education is just a scapegoat.

By the way I am from the Midwest and just such a family. They made choices and then blame others for taking their jobs and future promotions. They can always go back to school but choose not to.
