Yesterday, I shared a story about the Kilauea volcano which had erupted out of its sleep to shoot lava up to 300 feet in the sky. There is no threat to property or lives, but it is still putting on a show. You can watch it live here.

It had erupted in September, and I shared how my husband and friend climbed the volcano while we were in Hawaiโ€™i in September. It still had hot steam rising from the caldera. While the adventurous โ€œboysโ€ climbed the volcano, the โ€œgirlsโ€ saw it from a different perspective; the lava fields left behind.

One of the most interesting parts of our visit to the lava fields, was not only seeing the immensity of it all, but also the destruction of it all. As you can see, it was probably an accumulated 12 to 18 feet high before it stopped.
