I Had a Little Thought…

When is it done?

I just had a little thought…and the hours went by. It was just a simple idea, an experience I had in earlier life. It was some stupid thing I did, or place I went or life lesson learned.

I crafted, I pulled it out of the dark matter. I researched and rewrote. It was done. It was good.

But darn it, I had to leave to go to a friend’s house. How dare they interrupt my flow?

Where Is Flo When You Need Her?

So I slept on it, coming back this morning to clean it up and post it.

Three hours later, I edited, cut the darlings and reorganized the whole piece. I also thought maybe I should make a series out of it. Yes, I can do it. I have a few other little thoughts going around in my head now.

I cut and reorganize again. I basically start from scratch to make this piece have its own beginning, middle and end.

Finally, I hit submit to publication. I am done. It is finished.
