Today marks the date of the Civil War in America, three years of the bloodiest carnage imaginable. A fight about greed and superiority almost breaking our nation in two.

Brother against brother fought in this war, because each felt they were 100% morally right. Although the war ended, the hostilities never did.

I encourage you to read this book by Heather Cox Richardson:

On this anniversary, the feature film Civil War came out in theaters today.

I found this film stunning and frightening. I am still trying to process the traumatic feelings I had during this movie. By far, this is one of the most powerful movies I’ve ever seen. It’s not easy to watch because it depicts a modern day collapse of the United States into a urban warfare civil war.

“What kind of American are you?” a character in the film asks while hold guns to the heads of journalists.
