History will never have a queen like Elizabeth II

Seventy years is a very long time to have a job. Elizabeth II has passed away at the age of 96, and during her life she has been a constant in a tumultuous world. She was the longest reigning British monarch and has certainly earned her place in history.

Iโ€™ve never been a British royalty fan, but when I think of the historical place Queen Elizabeth II had in the unfolding of our world, it is tough to ignore the significance of her passing.

As I watched her out on the balcony celebrating her 70th year of reign, we knew it would most likely be the last time we would see her there. Yet, she stood out in the heat, watching the celebration and being one with her people.
